Interim Terms of Use (pending counsel review)

Terms of Use

Version 2026-08-09-interim-1

Interim terms. This text has not been reviewed by counsel. It is in place so that the acknowledgment is recorded while the firm's full agreement is being prepared. It does not replace any signed agreement between your firm and the operator of this software.

1. What this software is

BP Portal is a document drafting tool. It reads the case files you upload and uses an automated language model to produce a draft Bill of Particulars, Combined Reply, or Medical Summary.

2. What it is not

It is not a lawyer and does not give legal advice. Using it does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and the operator of this software. Nothing it produces is a final, filed, or attorney-approved document until your firm makes it one.

3. The output can be wrong

Automated language models are probabilistic. They can produce fluent, professional-looking text that is factually incorrect or entirely invented — including wrong or fabricated injuries, dates, names, parties, medical findings, and case citations. An error will not usually announce itself. It will look exactly like correct output.

4. You must review every document before it is used

Every document generated here must be independently reviewed and verified against the underlying source records by a qualified person before it is filed with any court, served on any party, or sent to any client. This obligation is yours and your firm's, and exists under your own professional duties independently of this software.

Documents produced by this tool are drafts. They are not to be filed, served, or submitted to any court in the form this software produced them.

5. What gets recorded

To keep an accurate record of how documents were handled, the system logs your email address, the date and time, and your IP address when you accept these terms, when a document is generated, and when a document is downloaded. This log is retained and may be produced if the handling of a document is ever questioned.

6. Confidential and health information

Case files you upload — including medical records — are processed by third-party service providers in order to generate documents. Those providers are named in the Privacy Notice. Upload only files your firm is authorized to process this way.

7. No warranty, and where responsibility sits

This software is provided as is, without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any filing or any particular purpose.

The operator of this software is not responsible for the content of any document it produces, or for any consequence of a document being filed, served, or relied upon. Responsibility for what is filed rests with the attorney and the firm who file it — which is the same place professional responsibility already sits.
